Cat Spay

Cats are spayed at an early age to stop them coming into season and getting pregnant. A queen can have several litters a year from the time she reach puberty at around 6 or 7 months of age. We would advise getting her spay done when she is 6 months or even younger.

We make a tiny hole on her side under General Anesthetic. Spaying is a quick procedure and your cat can go home the same day. She will very often be running around that evening.

After the operation, it is worth feeding her a diet that will ensure she stays slim and healthy. We particularly like the Royal Canin Neutered Cat range.

Please phone if you have any questions we are happy to discuss any aspect of your cats stay here at the surgery, or ongoing care at home.
