Whilst vaccinations are very important to maintaining pets’ health, we have to balance that against the current threat of coronavirus and our need to support the government decision that people need to stay at home except for very limited purposes, including travelling to and from work, but only where absolutely necessary.

We have thought about this long and hard, and consulted with all the major veterinary and animal welfare organisations in the UK. We all agreed that for 3 weeks from 23rd March, veterinary professionals can continue to work, but must only provide urgent treatment and emergency care where animal welfare would be compromised by delaying for this period of time. Regrettably, this means we cannot offer vaccinations over this period, but will keep the situation under regular review.
