dog-olympics-2014Sunday 7th September, the sun was shining and tails were wagging....the day of the Teddington Dog Olympics 2014. The main ring was constructed, stall holders arrived and very quickly over one hundred dogs met at Udney Hall Gardens.

Julie Carrig, Receptionist and Puppy School Trainer organised and planned the whole day, with support from the rest of the team at Vet4Life - proving to be a huge success.

julie-and-ian-dog-olympicsEvents ranged from Marathon Sit to Doggy Limbo - all competed in by over 20 dogs, and owners, with smiling faces. Bronze, Silver and Gold Rosettes were handed out (donated by Hamptons, in Teddington), as well as Vet4Life green ones for those who didn't win, but were equally as wonderful!

For those looking to enjoy the day without competing there was a wide variety of stalls to be appreciated - Happy Potter came along offering pottery and dog paw prints, Andrew Thorndyke provided a delicious barbeque and Blackjack Graphics selling wonderful animal print posters.  A brilliantly fun day was had by all, and all the hard work paid out raising over £2000 for local animal charities Hounslow Animal Welfare, A.R.C and Rescue Remedies.

hounslow-animal-welfare-dog-olympics-2014Vet4Life would like to thank the Teddington community for turning out and supporting them - for donating prizes for the raffle, the tombola, and for attending and helping us celebrate the wonder of dogs!
