deer-in-parkWe put our heads together this morning and came up with our favourite 5 places to take our dogs for a walk around Teddington.

The Riverside

In our opinion the Thames is the most beautiful place to walk your k9 friends and is right on everyone's doorstep. My favourite Stretch is between Richmond bridge passing Ham House until you reach Teddington Lock. Starting your walk at either end, at the pubs in Teddington or a dog friendly café at Richmond Bridge. It's a great place to walk with lots of interesting things for you and your dog although watch out for the tides, cyclists and be prepared for mud.

Bushy Park

Paloma's favourite and she loves Bushy Park with an active dog such as her young Springer Spaniel. She writes... There are lots of little streams, woodland, grassy fields and squirrels! What more could any dog want? There are cafés and lots of other doggy company. Watch out for the deer!

Richmond Park

When talking about the top 5 in our area you just can't omit Richmond Park and this is Ian's favourite. It's so beautiful that even the queen had to have it and changes so much with the weather and the seasons, no two days are the same. You can feel completely lost away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Just like bushy park it is great for longer walks and there are many car parks so the choice of where to start is up to you. Pembroke lodge serves delicious cakes and drinks all year round and in summer ice creams are plentiful.

Marble Hill Park

Marble Hill is a lovely place to meet up with families and friends. There is even a playground for the kids, but unfortunately not for the dogs. There are several cafés, lots of field space and beautiful scenery. There are also very convenient dog poo bins with bags bravo Marble Hill Park!

Old Deer Park

No old deers to be found but lots of dogs and in spring, beautiful flowers. This park is right near Richmond and backs on to the river. With a stream at one end and a large playground at the other it's a great place to give your dog a stroll.
