Marleen

Lead Surgical Veterinary Surgeon

Marleen graduated from the Freie Universität Berlin. After qualifying, she moved to Sydney, Australia, to complete an internship at a busy equine referral hospital before relocating to Dublin for a second internship at the university teaching hospital. During her time in Ireland, Marleen worked in small animal emergency clinics and general practices, alongside completing a postgraduate certificate in small animal surgery through the University of Liverpool. Marleen joined Vet4Life in December 2023 and enjoys all aspects of clinical work, with special interests in orthopaedics and surgery.

Outside of work, Marleen loves staying active and spending time outdoors, whether that’s CrossFit, horse riding, or hiking. She also has a rescue cat called Kiki (clearly a willing participant in the photo!) who occasionally joins her on outdoor adventures.
